KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA — 8 October 2026 — Malaysian cat groomer Suezy Natasha has earned major international recognition after being named 2nd Best World Top Groomer 2026 at the FFGA World Grooming Competition 2026, held in Bangkok on 2 October 2026.
The achievement places Suezy among the leading cat grooming professionals on the international stage, following a highly competitive event that brought together 50 top cat groomers from countries around the world.
Suezy’s success extended well beyond the competition’s overall ranking. Demonstrating exceptional technical ability and expertise across multiple coat categories, she was also awarded Best Combing Skill and secured several top honours, including:
1st Top Groomer – Curly Coat
1st Top Groomer – Semilonghair Dense Coat
2nd Top Groomer – Semilonghair Silky Coat
Her accomplishments were further strengthened by an outstanding performance from Team Malaysia, which she led alongside fellow Malaysian groomers Shahrizan and Nurhidayah. The team was awarded 2nd Best World Groomer Team, giving Malaysia another significant achievement on the international grooming stage.
More Than Grooming — A Test of Knowledge and Technical Expertise
The FFGA World Grooming Competition was not judged solely on the visual results of each groom. Competitors were also challenged on their understanding of feline coat characteristics, grooming requirements and the standards appropriate to different coat types.
For Suezy, the competition represented an opportunity not only to represent Malaysia, but also to test her professional knowledge and technical skills against some of the best groomers in the world.
“Participating in an international competition is not only about bringing the name of Malaysia to the world. It is also about challenging myself, testing my skills and knowledge, and learning from other professional groomers,” said Suezy.
She also viewed the event as an important platform for professional exchange, allowing groomers from different countries to share techniques, experiences and perspectives while raising standards within the industry.
Championing the Future of Malaysia’s Cat Grooming Industry
Suezy hopes that achievements at international competitions such as the FFGA World Grooming Competition will help generate greater recognition for the professional cat grooming industry in Malaysia.
She believes that more competitions and professional platforms should be created to give emerging and established groomers greater opportunities to develop their abilities, gain international exposure and pursue excellence in their craft.
“Competitions like this give groomers the opportunity to sharpen their skills, gain experience and continue improving. At the same time, they can help strengthen and develop the local cat grooming industry,” she said.
Suezy’s latest international achievements mark another milestone in her professional journey and highlight the growing presence of Malaysian talent in the global cat grooming community.
Her performance in Bangkok has placed Malaysia firmly among the countries making their mark in competitive feline grooming, while demonstrating the level of skill, dedication and professional knowledge that Malaysian groomers can bring to the international stage.
Congratulations to all winners and participants of the FFGA World Grooming Competition 2026. – UTV
