UGANDA: PEARL OF AFRICA BUSINESS FORUM & EXPO 2025 will be held for the first time in Kuala Lumpur on the 23rd and 24th of April 2025. 

This premiere event will be organised by the High Commission of the Republic of Uganda to Malaysia and World-One Business Federation at the Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. 

UGANDA: PEARL OF AFRICA BUSINESS FORUM & EXPO 2025 aims to establish, Uganda as the new investment destination for collaboration, knowledge sharing, networking and fostering synergies to showcase the country’s rich resources – which includes agriculture, minerals, tourism and other services. 

The two-day event will focus on the entire value chain under one roof and will feature specialised exhibitions prioritising current and future collaborations with Malaysian businesses and chambers of commerce for mutual growth.

UGANDA: PEARL OF AFRICA BUSINESS FORUM & EXPO 2025 aims to: 

• To promote bilateral trade between Uganda and Malaysia; • To showcase Uganda’s rich resources – includes agriculture, minerals, tourism and services; • To collaborate with Malaysian businesses and chambers of commerce for mutual growth. 

The trade expo will be accompanied by knowledge sessions, workshops, conferences, CEO roundtables, as well as business-to-business (B2B) and government-to-government (G2G) interactions throughout with the main agenda being: 

• To identify new business opportunities and partnerships for Ugandan and Malaysian enterprises; • To explore areas for investment, trade and collaboration; • To highlight Uganda’s previous exports and imports with Malaysia and identify prospects in various industries. 

The focus of discussions will centre around : 

• Agriculture: Coffee, Tea, and Cultural products; • Tourism: Promoting Uganda-Malaysia as a travel destination for both parties; • Oil and Gas: Exploring business partnerships in oil exploration in Uganda; • Manufacturing: Discussing joint ventures, partnership for growth and technology transfer; • Information Technology: To spearhead new technology and intelligence between both country talents to build the nations’ brightest information technology workforce

According to Bank of Uganda, exports to Malaysia in 2024 was USD 108.29 million whereas the imports from Malaysia last year was at USD 250.13 million. 

UGANDA: PEARL OF AFRICA BUSINESS FORUM & EXPO 2025 aims to foster and increase the number of bilateral trades between the two countries, with an expected growth exponentially, for the next five years.
