Greater Public Awareness Needed on Cancer Prevention

KUALA LUMPUR — Continuous efforts are needed to raise public awareness about cancer prevention, early detection and the importance of regular health screenings.

Just as regular health checks can help identify potential problems before they become serious, appropriate cancer screenings can play an important role in detecting the disease at an earlier stage, when timely medical attention may be more effective.

In line with this objective, the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) continues to organise various cancer awareness, screening and community welfare programmes. KT Ultimate Advisory (M) Sdn. Bhd. (KTU), through its KTU Cares initiative, has continued to support NCSM’s efforts in serving and supporting the community.

As part of this collaboration, a Breast Cancer Screening and Awareness Programme was held at the National Cancer Society Malaysia premises. The programme aimed to increase awareness of breast cancer, emphasise the importance of early detection and highlight the need for continued care and social support for individuals affected by cancer.

A total of 50 women were given the opportunity to undergo breast cancer screening as part of the programme.

KT Ultimate Advisory Managing Director Mr Kogulanathan said the company remains committed to supporting meaningful community initiatives that create greater awareness and make a positive difference in people’s lives.

He also expressed his appreciation to NCSM Managing Director Dr Murallitharan and the NCSM team for their continued support, cooperation and commitment towards cancer awareness and community welfare.

As part of KTU’s commitment to supporting NCSM’s community programmes, KT Ultimate Advisory (M) Sdn. Bhd. contributed RM10,000 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia.

NCSM officials, KT Ultimate Advisory management representatives and community leaders were also present at the programme.

Through KTU Cares, KT Ultimate Advisory will continue to support initiatives that promote awareness, early detection and the well-being of the wider community.
