GOLFING WITH A VIEW: BNI EMPLOYEES DISCOVERPENANG’S SCENIC COURSES

PENANG, 5 October 2024 – Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) has taken a bold step in employee
engagement by sending 90 of its staff and executives from the Medan branch on a three-
day incentive trip to Malaysia. This initiative aligns with Tourism Malaysia’s efforts to
position the country as a premier MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions)
destination, while also providing a refreshing weekend escape for office workers.
A highlight of the trip was a memorable tee-off at the prestigious Penang Golf Club Bukit
Lawang. Renowned for its stunning landscapes and challenging holes, the course features
Bermuda grass on the fairways and tee boxes, complemented by Tif Dwarf greens. Golfers
enjoyed a day immersed in lush greenery and panoramic vistas, making for an exhilarating
mix of relaxation and team bonding.
The adventure extended beyond the greens, as the group explored Georgetown’s UNESCO
World Heritage Site. They delved into local culture with visits to the Penang Peranakan
Museum and the iconic entertainment hub at The Top Penang, which boasts the Rainbow
Skywalk and Observatory Deck, offering breathtaking views of the city and its surroundings.
