Intercoiffure Mondial (ICD), the world’s leading hairdressers platform returns to Malaysia marking its 100th years anniversary.

The organisation is well known as the council of hairdressers worldwide, founded in 1925, in Paris, France.

The goal of ICD is to organise the world’s most advance and prestigious hair professionals together in a like-minded community, elevating its industry, technology and to foster international growth via its communication channels.

ICD Malaysia chapter recently was
established by founding president, Mr David Sim. In his statement, David hopes to recruit founding members and establish ICD Malaysia branches in various states in Malaysia.

ICD Malaysia hopes to organise more educational classes and charity programs in the coming months.

ICD Malaysia recently held a Chinese New Year dinner event here in Kuala Lumpur, where present delegates, Tan Sri M Kayveas, Datuk Irwin Cheong, Dato’ Lewre Lew & Datin Winnie Loo were amongst the guest in the event.

ICD KEMBALI KE MALAYSIA SEMPENA ULANG TAHUN KE-100.

Intercoiffure Mondial (ICD), platform pendandan rambut terkemuka dunia kembali ke Malaysia sempena ulang tahun ke-100.

Organisasi ini terkenal sebagai majlis pendandan rambut di seluruh dunia, yang diasaskan pada tahun 1925, di Paris, Perancis.

Matlamat ICD adalah untuk menganjurkan profesional rambut paling maju dan berprestij di dunia bersama-sama dalam komuniti yang berfikiran sama, memartabatkan industri, teknologi dan untuk memupuk pertumbuhan antarabangsa melalui saluran komunikasinya.

Bahagian ICD Malaysia baru-baru ini telah ditubuhkan oleh presiden pengasas, Encik David Sim.

Dalam kenyataannya, David berharap dapat merekrut ahli pengasas dan menubuhkan cawangan ICD Malaysia di pelbagai negeri di Malaysia.

ICD Malaysia berharap dapat menganjurkan lebih banyak kelas pendidikan dan program amal dalam beberapa bulan akan datang.

[Global ICD Malaysia Chapter/100th Anniversary]

Intercoiffure Mondial is the most famous and global hairstylist organization in the world. The World Council of Hairstylists (ICD) was founded in 1925 and is headquartered in Paris, France.

It is an internationally renowned hairstylist association. Currently, the most famous hairstylists in the world are members of the association.

Hair practitioners around the world are proud to be its members. The purpose of the association is to organize the world’s most advanced, most representative, and most prestigious hairstylists and hair professionals in the industry to exchange technology and communicate with each other, with the ultimate goal of friendship and sharing.

With the deepening of opening up to the outside world, the Malaysian hairstyling industry has gradually connected with the world. Under the recommendation and guidance of the World Council of Hairstylists (China) Headquarters, ICD Malaysia was officially established on August 8, 2024, with its office address located in Butterworth, Penang.

After the establishment of ICD Malaysia, with the aim of integrating into the world’s design stage, it implements the spirit of “friendship and sharing” of ICD, closely cooperates and interacts with the world’s top hair designers, and organizes members to carry out a series of technical exchanges, inspections and communication activities with the advantages of ICD resources, bringing the world’s cutting-edge hairdressing trends and technologies to Malaysia, serving and promoting the development of Malaysia’s hairdressing industry, and injecting new vitality into the development of Malaysia’s hairdressing and beauty industry.

Mr. David Sim, the founding president of ICD Malaysia, hopes to recruit founding members with the same frequency and the same ideas as President Peter in the next one or two years, and will also establish ICD Malaysia branches in various states in Malaysia.

It is hoped that in the future, all branches and members will actively participate in various exchange activities, and bring Malaysia’s fashion culture to the world, and introduce international trends and fashions to recreate, provide new concepts for the industry, and bring new atmosphere to the hair design industry.

For the inheritance of hair art, for the development of the industry, for the achievement of a new generation of hairdressing practitioners, for friendship, and for giving back to society, the
spirit of ICD will be carried forward in Malaysia.

Establish a state branch of ICD Malaysia to allow more beauty industry professionals to gain more international and domestic platforms.

Transport Malaysian beauty industry talents and technologies to foreign countries for technology sharing.

Let more non-profit organizations and business organizations in Malaysia witness that ICD Malaysia is a representative and most prestigious club for hair designers and hair professionals in the industry.

Organize a charity department to allow more beauticians from poor families to come to ICD educational institutions to learn technology for free.

Organize a fashion department to let the director lead the team members to fashion conferences around the world or in China, to promote Malaysian technology internationally and let the world know about Malaysia.

Organize an education and technology department so that the director can uphold the educational purpose of ICD Malaysia to help members who need more training, assist members to strengthen their technology, and educate for life.

Organize ICD Malaysia to set up branches in various states in the country, so that the branch presidents can independently operate and pass on the concept of the headquarters, so that more ICD members in more states can get more and larger selfless platforms.

At the same time, the branch presidents should also organize activities in their own states every year or every two years, so that the branch directors and members can get more learning platforms and planning.

ICD Malaysia also hopes that the presidents of each state can pass on the concept of ICD from the branch, let the world see Malaysia, unite as one family, and lead the way.

Under the call of the ICD branch, work together to promote the art of hairdressing, enhance technical awareness, share successful experiences, promote the development of the industry, and cultivate a new generation of young people.

The inheritance of symbolic art, the innovation of fashion, the care of humanity, the achievements of the industry, and the long-lasting friendship.

This is the spirit of ICD Malaysia, and it is also the true meaning of the founding president David Sim to establish ICD Malaysia.

What we pursue may not be understood or recognized by everyone. But, we are ICD! Not an ordinary association.
