Resolution of Tamil Language and Literature Class Timing Issue at SMK Raja Mahadi,Klang

KLANG, 25th February

– The issue concerning the scheduling of Tamil Language and Literature classes at SMK Raja Mahadi has been successfully resolved following discussions with all relevant stakeholders. Initially, students taking this subject were required to attend classes after regular school hours, leading to strong objections from parents.

In response to these concerns, a meeting was held with school officials, parents, and the Special Officer to Deputy Minister of Education, YB Wong Kah Woh. YB Gunaraj George, State Assemblyman for Sentosa, was also actively involved in the discussions. After further consultations with the District Education Office (PPD) and the State Education Department (JPN), a fair and practical solution was reached.

We are pleased to announce that the matter has been resolved, ensuring a more suitable arrangement for the affected students. The resolution prioritizes students’ academic needs while addressing parental concerns.

A special appreciation goes to the Deputy Minister of Education, YB Wong Kah Woh, for his intervention and commitment in resolving this matter. We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Headmaster of SMK Raja Mahadi for his cooperation and leadership in facilitating this resolution. Additionally, we thank the parents, school administration, PPD, and JPN for their constructive engagement in ensuring a positive outcome for the students.

This development highlights the importance of open dialogue and collaboration in safeguarding students’ right to study their mother tongue in a conducive learning environment. We will continue working closely with all parties to ensure that the interests of students and parents are always prioritized.
