STA organizes an introductory meeting about the Nusuk platform in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, August 28, 2024:
On Tuesday, August 27, the Saudi Tourism Authority organized an informative meeting for the business sector on the unified government platform “Nusuk” designed to serve visitors to Mecca and Medinah, in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) President for Asia-Pacific Markets, Alhasan AlDabbagh and was attended by several Saudi government officials.

Additionally, the Saudi Tourism Authority will be hosting an interactive exhibition targeting Malaysian citizens at one of Southeast Asia’s largest shopping malls located in Putrajaya (the federal administrative capital of Malaysia, south of Kuala Lumpur) from 28 Aug – 1 Sept, 2024.

Several private-sector representatives from both countries, specifically travel and Umrah agencies participated in an exclusive introductory meeting held in Kuala Lumpur.

During the meeting, they discussed challenges, explored potential solutions, coordinated unique opportunities, and introduced the services provided by Nusuk partners to Malaysian pilgrims and visitors.

Notably, the Saudi Tourism Authority has more than 200 accredited partners offering various services.

These services include aviation, accommodation, transportation, various logistical services, and the organization of tourist programs and tours.

Saudi Arabia aims to welcome 30 million Umrah pilgrims from all over the world by 2030, in line with the objectives of its Vision 2030.

This streamlined process facilitates the arrival of Umrah pilgrims, enabling them to visit the Prophet’s Mosque and Al Rawdah Al Sharifah, when obtaining an appointment through the Nusuk app, and explore the historical, cultural, and heritage sites in Mecca and Medinah.

This offers a unique spiritual experience for the guests of Allah throughout the year, except during the Hajj season.
