Nusuk Platform, Makkah Route Showcase Saudi Arabia’s AdvancedModels in Pilgrim Facilitation

Jeddah, 7 Nov – The Nusuk platform, supervised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has achieved remarkable growth within a single year, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing the experience of pilgrims and
visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.

The number of Nusuk users has surged from 12 million to more than 40 million across 190 countries, with over 90 percent of users residing outside the Kingdom. The platform has also exceeded 26 million downloads, issuing
over 17 million Umrah permits and 13 million permits to visit the Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah. These achievements are part of more than 130 digital services designed to simplify procedures and enrich the religious and cultural journey of pilgrims.

This progress reflects Saudi Arabia’s continuous efforts to modernize the
Hajj and Umrah service system through innovative and integrated solutions.

The Nusuk platform, managed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and the Makkah Route initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with several government entities, stand as leading models of how technology and organization merge to serve pilgrims and Umrah performers.
During the 2025 Hajj season, the Makkah Route initiative facilitated the arrival of 314,337 pilgrims via 899 flights landing at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. The initiative operates in selected countries through dedicated airport terminals, enabling smooth and efficient pre-departure processes.

These processes include electronic visa issuance, biometric data
collection, verification of health requirements, and the sorting of luggage according to accommodation and transportation plans within the Kingdom.
Upon arrival, pilgrims are transported directly to their lodgings in Makkah
and Madinah, while their luggage is delivered through coordinated logistics.

The upcoming Hajj 2025 Conference and Exhibition, scheduled in Jeddah
from November 9 to 12, further reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to developing the Hajj and Umrah system. The event will showcase the latest national experiences and innovative initiatives, particularly highlighting the success of Nusuk and Makkah Route as models integrating digital advancement with on-ground execution.
Through these pioneering initiatives, Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in crowd management and in serving visitors
to the Two Holy Mosques—an endeavor inspired by Vision 2030, which regards serving pilgrims as both an honor and a national duty that drives the Kingdom’s progress into the future.

Nusuk, the official Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah platform, provides
global pilgrims with integrated Umrah services—visa issuance, flights, hotels, transport, and guided Ziyarah tours. It partners exclusively with licensed operators, ensuring secure, efficient, and spiritually fulfilling
journeys to Makkah and Madinah.
